“Menya Dragon Ramen” Director’s Letter [Regarding the new specification for ‘Work’]
Hello everyone! This is IKEDA-D director of Menya Dragon Ramen.
As mentioned in the March 1st Director Letter, we are making adjustments on Work, Dungeons, and RBA to earn DEP consistently every month based on the concept of “Earning cryptocurrency by running a Ramen Store.”
Today, we would like to explain the details of them that will be implemented from April 1st 4:00 (JST).
■ First — about the total of rewards -
Until now, the total amount of DEP paid to users at “Menya Dragon Ramen” has been calculated by dividing the ratio into three axes: Work, Tier Reward in the RBA, and Ranking Reward in the RBA.
The disadvantages of dividing rewards into three axes were that it was far from a stable earning system, and users had to take risks to earn DEP.
Thus, in this new implementation, we integrated all the portions of the RBA that had been allocated to Ranking Reward into the Work. By doing so, we were able to increase the amount of Work, and by designing rewards based on the amount of investment, we were able to provide users with increased DEAP rewards and improved earnings stability through Work. Also, for our side, it has the advantage of reducing risk and continuing long-term operations.
■ About new Work
１．About the “Store Area” selection and its overview
The most crucial change in Work will be the addition of 9 new areas (they are subject to change) for store openings.
The “Store Area” can be selected depending on the user’s rarity and the number of NFT Employees.
Of course, if there is any change in the NFT you own during the month, you can change the “Store Area”.
Depending on the “Store Area”, the Ramen score required to earn DEP, the amount of DEP that can be earned at one time, and thus the total amount of DEP will change.
Thus, the more you have higher the rarity of NFT and large numbers of NFT, the larger the area you will be able to open a store. In there, the scores required are higher, but the higher rewards can be earned in a single month.

２．About the grant of rewards
Previously, DEAP Rewards were granted when the required Ramen Score was fulfilled, but after this modification, it will be changed to grant DEAPbill based on the score reached and the number of NFT Employees in possession at 4:00 (JST) every day.
This is intended to limit abuse of the Scholarship, as discussed later in this letter.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to users who are playing the game correctly.
３．About the change of the “Store Area”
If you purchase a new NFT in the middle of the month or change your food collection plan, you can change the “Store Area”.
Please note that the earned DEAP Reward slot will be maintained even after switching the “Store Area”.
For example, if you earn the first DEAP Reward in one area and then move to another area, the first DEAP reward has already been earned.
Also, if the possession status of NFT Employees has changed at 4:00 (JST), the time of granting rewards, the “Store Area” may be automatically demoted.
Therefore, please be aware of the status of NFT exhibits and Scholarship contracts.
■ About the changes in the RBA
As mentioned above, the reward of DEAPbill by ranking position in the RBA will be discontinued, but we will make modifications so that the results of the RBA will be reflected in the Work.
In the current RBA, you earn a score by battle and your ranking is determined by the accumulated score. After the modification, the accumulated score earned will be added to the Ramen Score of the Work.
In addition, the added score will be adjusted according to the Tier.
For example, if your score in Tier 1 of the 2nd RBA was 500,000 pts, this score multiplied by the adjustment applied in Tier 1 would be added to your Ramen Score in Work.
We still need to review the number of players in each Tier, the number of players promoted and demoted, and the game balance of battles, but we plan to adjust as appropriate based on the user’s feedback and data.
Please note that the Tier Reward and in-game items based on the Ranking position will continue to be offered.
Also, we will adjust the bonus calculation for Ramen Score in the RBA appropriately as needed.
We will inform users of any changes regarding this at the time of the RBA.
■ About balance adjustment on Dungeons
In previous Dungeons, the deeper you went into a Dungeon, the stronger the enemies appear and the more ingredients you could obtain. In addition, the Dungeons were designed in such a way that the higher the difficulty level (EASY, NORMAL, or HARD), the higher the probability of obtaining Rare Ingredients.
Although the acquisition rate increases as the difficulty increases, it is difficult to make a plan since it is a probability, and due to the nature of the game, which requires a certain number of ingredients for Work, many users repeat similar dungeons, resulting in a situation that makes it difficult to see a large difference in a total score for January, regardless of the NFT they possess.
Therefore, starting April 1st, along with the above-mentioned Work specification changes and balance adjustments, the Dungeon balance will be adjusted as follows.
1. EASY Dungeon
Regardless of the possession status of NFT, you will be easier to conquer up to the Toryu Ruins (Night).
Various ingredients are dropped accordingly, allowing you to enjoy a variety of Ramen combinations.
2. NORMAL Dungeon
It requires some powerful NFT such as R and SR, but you will get more ingredients than on EASY.
In Work, it is possible to enjoy a planned style of gameplay, such as cooking a batch of Ramen using rare ingredients at the appropriate time.
3. HARD Dungeon
You need NFT that are SSR or stronger, but the ingredients are even more readily available than in NORMAL, and rare ingredients drop in a more balanced way.
In Work, your Ramen Store always can be met customer expectations.
4. Add new Dungeon and new ingredients
Along with the balance adjustment on Dungeons, we will also implement new Dungeon and new ingredients from April 1st.
We apologize for the inconvenience to users who have been calculating and summarizing the drop locations of ingredients and Ramen Score through our additions and the balance adjustments described above. We hope you will enjoy the new ways to play and discover discoveries.
If we receive many requests from users, we will discuss providing information on the ingredients available in each dungeon!
Please be assured that the cleared status of previously cleared dungeons will be maintained, and you will be able to check the drops and monsters from the map.
Please note that you will not be able to resume interrupted battle data that had departed prior to the release of the adjustments.
■Conclusion
First of all, we apologize to our customers who have enjoyed the Work and RBA experience in the past for the major changes that will result in a change in the way of play.
We will continue to adjust the game balance and review reward amounts as appropriate while watching the user’s overall situation.
We will continuously work hard to offer users the unique experience of Menya Dragon Ramen.
Finally, the April DEAP Reward is to be disclosed on March 27th.
