The King of Fighters Arena Tournament is a competition for gamers to showcase their skills and fight for the title of the King of Fighters Arena organized by PlayOne Games and sponsored by MARBLEX. The main objective of the tournament is to provide a platform for gamers to compete and display their gaming abilities, while also growing the King of Fighters Arena community.

This guide is designed to provide all the information needed for participants to understand the tournament, including eligibility, rules, registration, schedule, prizes, and support.

📚 Overview of the Tournament Structure

Group by Tier

  • Group 1: Group Above Platinum 5 Tier, 64 participants
  • Group 2: Group below Gold 1 Tier, 64 participants

Match-up format

  • Game Mode: Friendly Match
  • Battle Mode: Single Match (non Elimination Match)

the number of matches per round

  • Round of 64 ~ Semi-final, Third place playoff: only 1 match-up
  • Grand Final: best two out of three

Participants must meet the requirements below.

  • Joining Our Twitter, and Discord server with a valid account
  • Valid PID No. of KOF Arena
  • Valid Tier for each league
  • Compatible gaming system and internet connection

📜 Tournament Rules

Round Details and Match-up Timing

Each contestant in a given round must schedule a match time with their opponent through mutual agreement after the match table release. A post has been created in the #match-up channel for each match-up in Discord. The relevant contestants must coordinate the match time within the adjustment period by commenting on the post for their respective match. If a match time is not agreed upon or if the match does not occur during the round period, it will be considered as a loss for the responsible party.

Winning Conditions

To confirm the results, all players must record their screen while playing the game and match. The person who wins the game must upload a video of it as a comment on the post where you made a match-up appointment with your opponent.

Participants may be disqualified for violating the rules or regulations set by the tournament organizers.

Tournament Match-up Step-by-step guide

Step 1. Check the Fighter role has been granted.
Step 2. Find the post you have been tagged in on the #match-up Discord channel.
Step 3. Make a match schedule with your opponent via a comment on the post.
Step 4. Start a “friendly match” at the agreed time and share the “participation code” via a comment on the post.
Step 5. Both sides start the competition while recording the screen.
Step 6. The winner of the competition uploads the screen recording to the post as a comment.

Both contestants must prepare to record the screen before starting the match.

How to make a friendly match?

The person who engages in unfair behavior will be penalized and disqualified from the tournament.

  • Feb 7th: Participants’ confirmation and match table release on the round of 64

  • Feb 14th: Match table release on the round of 16
  • Feb 15th: Round of 16
  • Feb 16th: Match table release on the Quarterfinals
  • Feb 17th: Quarterfinals
  • Feb 18th: Match table release on the Semi-final
  • Feb 19th: Semi-final
  • Feb 20th: Match table release on the Grand Finals and Third place playoff
  • Feb 21st: Grand Finals and Third place playoff
  • Feb 23rd: Official announcement of the competition result and lucky draw winners
  • Mar 2nd: Reward Distribution
