🚀 Full control over voice’s speed
We’ve noticed some users find the voices talk too fast, or too slow. Today we have good news for you! Where podcast and audiobook apps usually offer just a few speed options, Playpost now gives you full control over how fast a voice speaks to you. With steps of 0.01x you can tweak the voice speed to exactly match what you prefer for easy listening.
You can change the voice’s speed from the full player when playing an article.
👉 Easily choose the voice you like
You can now easily choose the voice you like in Playpost by filtering on; speaking quality, gender and country. All voices have a preview, so you can decide which one you like.
You can change the voice from the Voices button on the top-left of your playlist. Changing voices is available for Premium and Plus users.
Try out all the voices by starting a free trial in the app in the Upgrade screen.
🌎 Supporting more than 210+ voices in different languages
In our effort to support the languages spoken throughout the world we’ve added support for more. We now support 22 languages with over 210+ different voices:
English, French, German, Spanish, Chinese, Czech, Danish, Indonesian, Korean, Norwegian, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Swedish, Turkish, Vietnamese, Greek, Finnish, Hindi and Italian.
Support for other European languages, Arabic and Thai are currently in progress!
🙉 Article listening compatibility
We’ve now added a warning to articles when Playpost detects the article might not be complete or just not compatible to be listened to. The warning also suggests possible solutions.
✅ Make sure you are on version 1.1.3
A problem where the article’s audio could not be played sneaked into version 1.1.2 of the app on the 13th of August. This problem is fixed in version 1.1.3, which is released on the 16th of August. Make sure you have automatic updates turned on or manually update using the App Store app.
To know which version you have, open the Settings screen and scroll to the bottom.
