Today I feel quiet inside
Not wanting, and not needing
The constant hum and buzz of energy is silent
My mind is still
I told them that you make me feel calm
And they disapproved of this
You can make your own calm, they said
But I can’t make this feeling all by myself
I don’t know how
This only happens after I see you
When my skin has mingled with yours
And the scent of you is in my hair
Only then do I feel like I can breathe
Only then do I find some peace
