Hello again from the engineering team, we’re here with another weekly update (here’s last week’s, if you missed it)! Our biggest recent news is that we received the final design package from MetaLab. This week the whole team is helping double check the designs to make sure they match our expectations, so we can begin frontend implementation for the MVP. We don’t expect any issues, since we’ve been doing weekly design reviews with the MetaLab team since last year.

Last Week

Last week, we finished up and tested some of the backend tasks we’d been working on, including 2-factor authentication. We also added Google login as an alternative authentication provider in the backend. On the frontend we began updating the main page according to the final designs, and made good progress on a few creator tools for managing projects. We’ve mostly been focused on reviewing the designs and planning implementation, and expect development to move at a much faster pace starting this week.

Backend

  • Social logins with Google
  • Add API for getting featured projects
  • Add and update a few APIs for creator project management
  • Finish and test account email verification
  • Improve application and server configuration
  • Update project collaboration APIs

Frontend

  • Begin updating the home page
  • Further progress on creator tools
  • Reviewing designs and planning implementation

Smart Contracts

  • Begin project contract work based on last week’s updated specifications

This Week

This week’s backend tasks include extending authentication options to include Facebook, finishing up the notifications system, and making more progress on project creator tools. For the frontend, we’ll continue organizing development for the next few months based on final designs. We’ll also finish work on the homepage update, migrate existing pages to use styles/fonts/icons from the new designs.
