Pledgecamp Engineering Update #20

Hello again from the engineering team! Two weeks ago we released an updated version of the click-through prototype at https://alpha.pledgecamp.com

This week we focused on quality control and bug fixes for the platform frontend and backend. We improved quite a few UI interactions, updated layout and widgets to be more consistent across the site, and added some simple widget animations. We also wrote specifications for a few new backend components, and began an overhaul of backer insurance smart contracts.

Backend

• New lines of code: -6
• Various bug fixes
• Remove redundant code
• Improve new developer experience
• Plans for improved API documentation
• Specification for storefront and preorder project modes

Frontend

• New lines of code: 106
• Improve mobile and tablet design for a few project related pages
• Fix UI and functionality bugs from reviewing alpha site
• Style updates to project dashboard
• Add views for empty project FAQ
• Update animation for list select widget

Smart Contracts

• New lines of code: 747
• Revamp test system
• Started on overhaul of project contract
• Continued preparing Camp Share for contract audit

Total new lines of code: 847

Last week we planned and started working on some of the final remaining features for the MVP. Over the next few weeks we will continue releasing minor bug fix updates to the alpha site, while finishing work on new features. Stay tuned for the announcement of the beta release!
