#PledgeToProtect

We are proud to announce the arrival of the first project on Pledgecamp: a non-profit campaign to raise funds to support frontline healthcare workers battling COVID-19.

The shortage of personal protective equipment is real and urgent. Pledgecamp offers two ways to donate:

Even if you are unable to donate, simply sharing the page with others can make a huge impact in this important time.

Please join us in supporting this campaign and the platform as a whole. While nobody expected this virus originally, we are doing our part now to fight it. We look forward to bringing you our regularly planned crowdfunding campaigns soon!

What makes this COVID-19 relief campaign different from others?

1. We can supply PPE at lower cost thanks to years of managing supply chains in Asia.

2. We don’t suffer from huge overhead like major charity organizations and we take no profits from this campaign.

3. We give you the option to donate PPE to any hospital of your choice. Whether you have personal connections there or simply prefer to keep it local, we put the power to help directly in your hands.

Why is Pledgecamp doing this campaign?

America’s shortage of PPE is a serious threat and as a newly launched crowdfunding platform, we are in a position to help.

We are proud that the first campaign ever to launch on Pledgecamp is in support of this important cause. In the coming months, we look forward to hosting new and unique products for the community to browse.

Which hospitals will receive donations?

Because the situation is fluid, we will prioritize cities with the most active COVID-19 cases at the time of shipment. Where possible, we will coordinate with local authorities to direct supplies based on need.

For donors who choose to “Sponsor a hospital”, we will deliver to any hospital recognized by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. We will send an email to ask for your choice after you complete checkout.

We will only deliver to addresses recognized on the official hospital list here. Thank you for understanding.

Can I donate to hospitals outside of the U.S.?

At this point, we are running our campaign in the U.S. only. Based on the success of this campaign, we hope to expand our efforts to other countries in need.

How long will it take to receive PPE and how can I track results?

We will place the first order as soon as we hit our $100,000 funding goal. Delivery to hospitals will take roughly two weeks via express international air mail. If we hit our goal quickly enough, we will deliver PPE even while the campaign is still running.

We will post an update each time we place a subsequent new order, each time a hospital receives supplies, and a few more times just to let you know how things are going.

What happens if you can’t deliver the PPE?

In the unlikely case we cannot deliver or find replacements in accordance with CDC guidelines, we will issue full refunds to all contributors.

Is Pledgecamp earning profits from this campaign?

No. Our team will receive no financial kickbacks whatsoever from this campaign.

Is my contribution tax-deductible?

Our non-profit registration is currently pending approval with the California Secretary of State. If approved, all donations to this campaign can be tax-deductible including any contribution you make today.

Is the PPE FDA-approved? Where are your testing kits manufactured?

All PPE are FDA-approved and inspected by U.S. customs.

COVID-19 IgM/IgG testing kits are manufactured in South Korea, a global leader in COVID-19 testing. Sugentech and SD Biosensor are Korean biotech companies with approval to export tests to the United States, with additional suppliers in our pipeline. Approved tests will be listed by the FDA for public verification.

If for any reason we are no longer able to deliver a specific item, we will post an update and deliver additional other items to replace it.

I can’t afford to donate. Can I still help?

Yes please! Simply sharing our page with others will make a huge impact. Copy the link below and tag us with @Pledgecamp or #PledgeToProtect.
