We’ve partnered with Material10 & Frag Games to launch Plodding Isles: Mini!
We’re thrilled to reveal a huge amount of exciting news with the Plodding Isles community in this highly-anticipated ecosystem update; much of which has been in the works for months and we’re eager to finally share it with you all! Buckle up, hoist the mainsail and grab your favourite pirate brew — this is a good one.
Over the course of a hugely-eventful 2022, the team has focused on consolidating our position, building hugely-influential partnerships and developing our first blockchain-powered game — and the accompanying go-to-market strategy — with our newly-onboarded partners, including Frag Games and Material10, who specialize in development and publishing respectively.
We’re immensely excited that development of Plodding Isles: Mini is well underway. The scale, depth and replayability of this game has expanded exponentially beyond our initial plans over the last year and we can’t wait to share some dev blogs with you.
Having heavily expanded upon the development scope of our first game, we’re able to head forward into the end of the year with an altered launch timeframe, poised for long-term success; with the mission of bringing blockchain-powered gaming experiences to a mainstream gaming audience (more on this soon!)
Importantly, through initial capital raised through our pre-seed Dubloon financing rounds, the development of our first title is fully funded. This is no small feat; the ability to fully concentrate surplus time and resources on platform development — on account of a fully paid-up end product — is uncommon in this fledgling industry.
Frag & Jinnbyte
As for the team working hard on bringing Plodding Isles: Mini to life, we’re happy to announce that we’ve partnered with Frag Games, and their sister studio Jinnbyte, who are respectively spearheading the art and development of our title.
We’re working closely with our new colleagues to deliver our exciting vision of the future of Play & Earn gaming, with all of the fun and none of the gimmicks.
Frag has almost a decade of experience in developing awesome games, having worked with huge publishers such as Cartoon Network and Netflix. We’re super excited to have them on board and to be able to start sharing regular development blogs and updates about our journey.
Material10
It’s been on the tips of our tongues for some time, but we’re glad to finally let the cat out the bag. We’ve partnered with the great minds over at Material10 to work together and bring our vision to life.
Material10 is a blockchain gaming studio & publisher with a stunning roster of industry leaders and experts from just about every facet of the finance, tech and gaming industires. With talent from EA, Trion Worlds, Bungie, Microsoft, Marvel, Amazon, Enjin, OlympusDAO and more, Material10 is backed by international investors — and they’re teaming up with us to publish Plodding Isles: Mini. Their knowledge, networks and expertise will be pivotal as we work to establish a new gold standard in gaming.
We’re excited to have Material10 publishing our games, and are grateful already to the likes of Andy Anderson (SuperFarm DAO, Enjin, Blockchain Gaming Lead @ M10) and Maitham Mohamed (Olympus DAO, Nyan Heroes, CEO @ M10) — amongst others — for their hugely influential early contributions to the development of our fledgling ecosystem.

We’re excited! We’ve had to keep a lot under wraps over the last few months — it’s great to be able to start sharing development updates, game design blogs and more concept art with you.
We’ve also got an awesome new modular website (you may spot a shiny new logo) that we’ll be adding more and more to over the coming years, and especially so over the next six months.

While Plodding Isles: Mini has been fleshed out heavily from initial concepts nearly a year ago, we’ve compiled a huge repository of lore, gameplay mechanics and art. This is something we want you to join us on every step of the way, so we’ll be releasing downloadable lore content, game design snippets and regular teasers for you. You’ll also hear a lot more from us about our take on Web3 gaming, what we’re doing differently and why this is important.

Our upcoming Dubloon token is a pivotal facet of our upcoming open economy. Our NFT collections, our utility token and our Web3 interoperability are what we strive to bring to a mainstream audience; empowering gamers and opening up new opportunities for all.
We know what’s wrong with the Web3 gaming space, and we’re looking forward to making a change.
