Hosting files in the cloud is a hot thing these days, and for a good reason. There is no easier way to always access your files anywhere with a cloud file hosting solution.

Nextcloud Logo

I recently discovered “Nextcloud” from a user that told me about it in a Laravel discord server. (Thank you!) It is basically a replacement for Google Drive or Dropbox for example. It actually provides desktops clients for Windows, Mac and Linux. Also iOS and Android are supported.

It actually convinced me enough to create a integration with Nextcloud in Ploi.io, so you can install their whole application with 1 click and have your own cloud file hosting within seconds.

And we did! Just press Nextcloud after you added a domain:

You will get information about Nextcloud and the ability to install:

After you press install, Ploi will start installing your Nextcloud setup, and optimize the specific NGINX configuration file for this.

We also hint you once done:

Thats it! Just visit your website now and start setting up your own cloud hosting.

For more information we recommend you visit the Nextcloud website.

If you don’t know what Ploi is, check out my other article and website. Ploi is a great way to provision your own server and manage your website easily. You will always be in full control of your own server whereas Ploi will help you make difficult tasks easier.
