SFN’s 46th annual meeting
November 12–16 | San Diego
Calling all PhD students and ECRs!
We are looking for researchers to be involved in a live blogging campaign to provide coverage of the upcoming SFN conference, Neuroscience 2016, taking place in San Diego on the 12th-16th of November.
The Field Reports Initiative is a community outreach project whereby participants provide live coverage of an event in the form of blog posts. These posts are then shared via PLOS’ social media channels in order to encourage and enhance the online discussions surrounding the event. The blogs provide high quality accounts of the talks and discussions that have taken place or themes of the conference, as well as providing additional commentary and viewpoints. Participants will have the chance to network, engage in scientific discussion and have their posts promoted by PLOS.
This is an ideal opportunity for PhD students/ECRs who are attending Neuroscience 2016 and are interested in blogging. We welcome volunteers from all backgrounds and experience who can commit to writing 1–2 posts on topics of their choice about the conference. We are also looking for a select number of ‘Senior Bloggers’ who can commit to writing 2–3 high quality posts.
Once written, blog posts will be added to the PLOS Computational Biology Field Reports page. All bloggers will receive a reference letter to confirm their contribution.
Any researchers that are interested in being involved with this initiative should contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org with information about their background and how they would like to contribute by ****** EXTENDED DEADLINE: Friday 11th November******. Please also specify in your email if you are applying to be a Senior Blogger. We will then follow up with individuals with more information shortly after.
