Love Letter from Plotly
Happy Valentine’s Day! What better day to take a moment to express our love for all things Plotly and Dash, including successful product update releases, connecting with the data visualization community, our dedicated employees, and the inspiring Plotly Community.
❤️ Product Updates
Dash Enterprise 5.0 was released in November 2022, featuring a centralized app management platform and cloud-native Kubernetes architecture. Since then, we have received a flood of positive feedback touching everything from product to technical support.
❤️ Data Visualization
We love connecting with the data visualization community at events, both virtual and in-person.
Quantum and AI Day
Plotly employees attended the annual Quantum and AI Day, organized by Quebec Quantique and Mila Quebec Artificial Intelligence Institute. At Plotly, we are constantly learning from academics in the AI field. That’s why we love being a Mila partner, alongside IBM, Intel Corporation, Amgen, and 80+ innovative companies.
Data Teams Summit
We sponsored Solution Monday’s Data Teams Summit. The virtual peer-to-peer conference featured talks from Disney Streaming, Canva, and Mars (a Plotly customer). Plotly team members, Lauren York, Mingo Sanchez, and Jingning Zhang did a livestream and showcased some cool data apps and the new Dash Enterprise 5 platform. Missed the event? We’ll do a 1:1 demo for you!
Dash AG Grid Webinar
We hosted a webinar about how Dash and AG Grid work together to deliver high-performance data tables. Watch the recorded technical tutorial to see Alex Johnson, Plotly Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer, announce that our Dash AG Grid library is released to the open-source community.
Data & Analytics Conference
Last week, we exhibited at Corinium Global’s CDAO UK event in London, where we engaged in conversations and thought leadership around data and analytics. 🇬🇧
❤️ Our Employees
We launched a Life at Plotly: People & Culture Blog to express our love and appreciation for the incredible employees and interns at Plotly. Keep your eyes peeled for the first two articles to be published this month. 👀
Friendly. Supportive. Flexible.
Those were the most common words employees use to describe the culture at Plotly. If you’re interested in joining the team, check out our careers page – we’re still hiring!
❤️ The Plotly Community
Last but certainly not least. We’d take every opportunity to shower our Plotly Community with love, and Valentine’s Day is the perfect excuse.
In 2022, the Plotly Community forum saw a 32% increase in new posts created, 29% decrease in topics with no response, 10% increase in user retention, and 15% increase of daily engaged users. Join us this year to inspire and push the boundaries of the Dash framework. ✨
Meetups
On January 11, Dash Ambassadors gathered to share their expertise and advice on creating YouTube videos and community tutorials, exploring Building Blocks, and contributing to core code, the Dash Example Index, and overall forum support.
Email adam@plot.ly for an invite to the upcoming meetup on February 23.
Searching for a Valentine’s Day gift?
Plotly Community Manager, Adam Schroeder, co-wrote The Book of Dash, a step-by-step guide on visualizing ML models and creating statistical and scientific charts. It offers a crash course on Python, PyCharm, and pandas, and covers Dash app basics, advanced layouts and graphs, and more tips and tricks. Give your loved one an exclusive chapter and 25% discount code for the complete book, plus an opportunity to get the book for free! 💗
Dash Club
If you want to keep up with Plotly and Dash, sign up for Dash Club, which brings essays and updates every 8 weeks. It’s curated directly by Adam Schroeder and Plotly’s Co-Founder, Chief Product Officer, and Creator of Dash — Chris Parmer. The two of them recently met up in San Francisco to talk about how to best support the community this year.
❤️ From us, to you.
Whether you’re new to Plotly or have been around since the beginning, thank you for stopping by today. We love that you’re here!
