Plotly Ships: Data Apps for Everyone

90% of data and AI applications fail to make it to production or reach decision-makers. Moving towards a future where data drives real business impact through action and interactivity is crucial. Our latest product release focused on enhancing collaboration, control, and customizability.

At our launch event, we explored the future of dynamic data and AI. Here’s a breakdown of what was covered:

SciPy 2024

Plotly team members Greg Wilson and Martha Cryan attended the 23rd annual SciPy conference in Tacoma, Washington!

Aakash Varambhia, Data Science Lead at Johnson Matthey, also gave a presentation on how he and his team use Plotly to provide cutting-edge imaging data science to support research and development.

Dash Enterprise: Live Demo

Our upcoming live Dash Enterprise demo is on August 14 at 12pm EDT. Join Mingo Sanchez and Carolina Herrera as they demonstrate how Dash Enterprise empowers you and your team to build and manage scalable, interactive, and user-friendly production-grade data applications.

The Plotly team will be in Las Vegas from August 12–14 to attend Ai4 2024, North America’s largest artificial intelligence industry event. ➡️ Databricks LLM (DBRX) with Dash App Building Challenge — Last month, we invited the LLM builder community to create large language models using Databricks and develop front-end app interfaces with Dash. Standout apps include the QuizDash app by Cees and DoomBerg app by MarketMaker. See the winning apps!

➡️ Figure Fridays — Plotly is excited to introduce Figure Friday! Each week, we’ll release a new dataset and a sample figure. You’ll have until midnight next Thursday to enhance the figure, create your own Plotly figure, or build a Dash app. This initiative aims to boost your Plotly skills, foster community collaboration, showcase your creations to the world, and build your portfolio. ➡️ Plotly Hangout — Plotly Community Manager Adam Schroeder chatted with John Kang, Director of Planning Analytics and Industrial Engineering at Cox Automotive. John shared his experience with data and workforce analytics at Cox Automotive, discussed technical tools for Dash applications, and offered career advice for those in analytics.
