June marks one month since we launched our opensource code to market. We’re seeing increasing interest in our toolkit and lots of exciting opportunities coming through our ecosystem in addition to continually improving the current code base. This month we launched the Japanese version of our website and toolkit to support the growing interest from Japan in our development.

Our development teams are working on our next quarter goals. With our partners at Centrality we our continuing to develop the permissions protocol (Doughnut) on their network CENNZnet as well as extend the Generic Asset (GA) codebase and multi-token support for Smart Contracts.

During the next month we will also be looking to extend our development capability by releasing some bounties for development work.

Here’s the latest on what our teams and ecosystem partners have been working on this month:

Centrality & PL^G Internal Hackathon

On 27th June we held an internal hackathon for our staff and wider partners. The aim of the hackathon was to give teams the opportunity to build something cool for our ecosystem, outside of their existing projects, to win prizes, while also attaining feedback on our existing portal and documentation.

Five teams were given four challenges and one super challenge to tackle on the day. Challenges ranged from replicating ERC71.org and implement it with RUST on CENNZnet to picking one of the popular security token (R-Token or ERC1400) and implementing with RUST on CENNZnet.

Teams had one day to complete the challenges and were judged on whether they could have a working demo to present, team collaboration, execution and design.

The quality of presentations and tech delivered was truly impressive, but one Team, named Johnny DApp, took home the coveted trophy! However, all other teams efforts are going to be rewarded with additional time to complete their work to so that it can be released to our community for further development via Github.

IOMOB

The new website of Iomob goes live this month, showcasing us as an enterprise mobility company with rapidly growing traction. We just finished our participation in the annual ITS Summit in Eindhoven, a global movement to support the digitization and transformation of the global mobility ecosystem. CEO Boyd Cohen demonstrated how our algorithms and application layer are providing a truly multimodal experience for users. The presentation was well received and Iomob received the Public Choice award for best pitch from 24 selected startups. Liz Chee, COO, also represented Iomob at the Pirate Summit in Cologne, participating in the pitch competition. Collaborations with the Sweden Sustainable Mobility challenge, Renfe, and other partners continue in a positive direction.

Sylo

Sylo have had a month of consistent progress, regularly rolling out new builds of Sylo Beta and gradually releasing to the several thousand pre-registrants on their wait-list. Sylo Beta is now open to the public and can be downloaded directly from the Sylo site, or via these links for iOS or Android.

So, invite anyone you want, tell all your friends, the decentralised revolution is kicking off right here!

Also released by Sylo, is a graffiti-inspired thought catalogue named #DisruptChoice, the first category of which has been dubbed #InvasiveTech. The collection aims to shine a spotlight on issues posed by the centralised status-quo through artwork, bringing the ironic realities of ‘choice’ in the modern age to the attention of the mainstream. Keep your eyes open on social media!
