We’ve been encouraging dApps to integrate Plug Mobile Authentication in order to enable this feature in their projects and protocols. For Plug Mobile Authentication to work, the dApp needs to have the new Plug Connect button installed.

Mobile Authentication
The IC is now available in the palm of your hand!
For Android and iOS, you’ll need to use a dApp that’s enabled Plug Mobile Authentication.
How can you tell if they’re mobile-ready? The Plug connect button will look like this on mobile:
After confirming they’ve upgraded their dApp for Mobile Authentication, click connect.
Confirm the transaction and watch the Mobile Authentication magic 🪄 It’s as easy as that!

Is your favorite dApp lagging behind? Encourage them to update their Plug Connect button so you can use their dApp on mobile!
Import/Export Accounts
Continuing on our quest of syncing the mobile and web applications in terms of roadmaps & releases, we’ve introduced a new, familiar, account import option to Plug Mobile.
Users can now import identities using a PEM file, as well as the string within a PEM file. Pull up your Accounts menu, and click Create/Import Account. Select the type of Import you’d like, either Private Key or PEM File, and drop it in!
Easily export this account in your Settings, or delete it entirely, from your Accountsmenu!
Developers can now build in DFX and test across all iterations of Plug, including mobile, bundling identities into one easily accessible wallet.

What’s been squashed and improved?
- Large image size in metadata no longer trigger memory issues
- Improvements to the way we handle SVG images
- Turned on Hermes for iOS to improve performance
