Pluribus Digital announces SBA certification as Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB)
For 25 years, Solution Technology Systems, Inc. (STSI) d.b.a. Pluribus Digital has delivered excellent design, development, devops, and data services to public service missions. Two years ago, STSI made the strategic decision to bring in a new President and CEO, Jessica Morris and become a Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB). After successfully completing a third-party audit with the Women Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), we are now officially certified as a WOSB by the Small Business Administration (SBA).
In her first year, Jessica Morris launched our rebrand and adopted the name Pluribus Digital to better reflect who we are and where we are going. Pluribus represents both the “many” we serve, and the many diverse skills and backgrounds brought together to promote a digital services approach across the government.
For example, at USCIS, we are modernizing the products that drive the in-person interactions related to applying for citizenship. At FDIC, we publish open data for diverse sets of users through modern APIs and web applications. At GSA, we support the growth of Login.gov, a shared identity provider giving citizens and those interacting with government a consistent and secure means to access critical government services.
We believe diversity, equity and inclusion leads to high performing teams that deliver better software, especially when products are intended for access to public services. Since our change in leadership, we have been able to take the following steps intended to attract and support a thriving community of talented technologists:
- Hire more women and minorities historically underrepresented in tech
- Introduce and follow our roadmap to social justice
- Invest in employee professional development
- Offer DEI training
- Offer paid parental leave
- Transition to an almost fully remote culture
