Are you feeling a hunger to discover and embody your life’s purpose?

I know there are a lot of people who are struggling with finding their purpose. Especially during the coronavirus pandemic, for many of us, the shelter-in-place orders have flipped our lives upside down. Being social by nature, we rely on our human connection with each other to help connect with the most important parts of ourselves; the parts of us which make us who we are. In isolation, we feel an absence of connection, separation both from others and our own real self. There is no surprise that this can lead to a loss of meaning or purpose for many.

The Economic situation and the job market on the other hand, have caused lots of job losses and created the opportunity for many people to reconsider their careers.

Feeling frustrated, dissatisfied, or meaningless in challenging situations in life, are some normal emotions. However, if you’ve already been focused on your goals and still feeling frustration, maybe it’s time to take a closer look.

The good news is, that you’re not alone! From what my clients share with me of their professional lives, lately I’m seeing an increase in the number of successful people who seek solutions for this particular matter.

As Eckhart Tolle says in his book, The New Earth; “Our inner purpose is to awaken to the truth of who we are.”

So my invitation is to use these feelings as a signal to reconnect with your deeper values and create a life that allows you to express your soul purposes more freely and authentically.

On this topic, I had a “fireside” chat with my mentor and leadership coaching expert Robert Ellis. He has helped many leaders unleash potentials, transform cultures, and create bold futures. Learn more about Robert here.

In this conversation we talk about;

  • Difference between Essence, Passion, and Purpose
  • How to find out about your essence
  • The 3 questions that help you make decisions that are in alignment with your essence

Like Robert, I also believe that everyone has a natural way of creating value in life; the best way to find it is to go on a quest.

Witnessing many of my clients have transformed their lives, I am convinced that we all innately have something positive and unique to give to the world and be at service for others. I have learned that we are in no way limited by our heritage, race, age, or anything else. We are who we are, to fulfill our deep desire to realize, live, and celebrate our true souls’ purpose; our life purpose is nothing more than what brings us the most heartfelt joy and excitement in life. Discovering it should be easier than we might think, as it has been born with us and will be with us all our lives.

Is your predictable future inspiring? Or are you tolerating life being fine or being as good as it can be? Maybe you can start by answering these questions for yourself:

  • What is your essence?
  • Are you on the path or quest to find your purpose?
  • What is the biggest smallest thing you can do that helps you get one step closer to your essence?

I would love to hear from you on finding your essence and purpose. Send me DM and let’s chat more.

For your reference:

  • Your Essence; Being; showing up fully as who you are
  • Passions; something you love (may or may not related to your essence)
  • Purpose; an intention; something that you would like to create
