Yes, I have been wearing the same kind of outfit for more than last six months. At first, thinking about wearing the same outfit every day seems so boring. Why wear the same outfit every day when you have millions or billions of choices to choose from.

I very much like to experiment things with my productivity and find new and efficient ways to improve it. And this may be the biggest reason why I chose to wear the same outfit each and every day.

Why I chose the same outfit :

  1. Decision Fatigue: Waking up every morning and deciding what to wear, and when you have decided, check whether the pair of trousers looks good with the shirt and if not, you are back to deciding what to wear. Aren’t you getting late for office, dude?
  2. Deciding when to repeat clothes: Don’t be embarrassed. This happens to everyone. I had thoughts too “I wore it a day before yesterday, would someone judge me for it?”, “If I wear only three pairs of shirts every day, everyone will think that I don’t have clothes to wear”. And believe me, this types of thoughts makes you feel insecure and reduces your level of confidence.
  3. Time-Saving: It saves time, a lot of time. You don’t have to think even a single time about your clothes, your subconscious mind already knows it, and this saves you a whole lot of time.
  4. Body Energy:

Manage your energy, not your time.

We save a lot of body energy, that we can use on our productive tasks that are really more important than choosing the outfit for every single day.

And why not, many of the entrepreneurs and world leader have tried this thing and are doing this.

Steve Jobs :

Steve Jobs Clothing

Well, I guess most of the people have known about Steve Jobs and his same black turtleneck, blue jeans and New Balance sneakers every day. He was the CEO of the biggest tech giant Apple Inc. and in his whole career, he stuck to single outfit for every day.

When you think about the co-founder and (former) CEO of the most valuable company in the world wearing the same outfit every day, it’s pretty clear that Steve understood he had a finite capacity to make excellent decisions.

Mark Zuckerberg :

The CEO of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, have many grey t-shirts and hoodies in his wardrobe. Except for the special occasions, he wears the same outfits every day.

“I really want to clear my life to make it so that I have to make as few decisions as possible about anything except how to best serve this community,” Zuckerberg once explained of the curious sartorial decision.

Giorgio Armani :

Who make the best suits in the world? Armani !! And the owner, Giorgio Armani wears navy blue silk T-shirt, cashmere sweater, navy blue drawstring pants, and white sneakers, all by Armani, naturally.

Barack Obama :

The former president of USA, Barack Obama, wears the same types of suits every day.

The Pope :

One of the most famous personality, The Pope, wears his white outfit each and every single day.

Why you should also give it a try :

  1. Discipline: You believe it or not, wearing the same outfit brings the discipline in your body. If you are trying to make your lifestyle more classic, you should definitely try this.
  2. Time-Saving: Just think about the everyday time you could save on deciding the outfit daily.
  3. Money-Saving: You ultimately end up in saving your money in a long term. I bet you will end up saving 20 to 50 percent of money you spent on buying clothes.

Now, its time to try something new that you will never want to change. Share your experience in the comments and messages.
