Synchronous distance learning is the fastest-growing segment within e-learning, and Plutoview is the first mover in the synchronous research and group collaboration space. We bring multi-screen accessibility to distance learning and remote collaboration helping online educators and students alike. How Plutoview works is by allowing users to share and collaborate synchronously on multiple screens, being based in different parts of the world.

When developing our solution, we have discovered that the most pressing problem in distance learning right now is that students cannot work on group projects remotely, the way they do it offline. We’ve seen this problem raising questions around distance learning all over the world lately when everyone had to switch to distance learning amid a global pandemic. We have seen that video conferencing tools and screen sharing are not enough for successful distance learning and how to actually make remote research and group collaboration feel like it is happening at the same table.

Students who collaborate with their team remotely, use screen sharing whenever they work on a project. This technology has its limitations, starting with the fact that only one participant can share their screen at a time, making it difficult for other participants to make any changes of their own, increasing the time spent on finishing the project. More and more students and educators are looking for a solution that makes the distance learning experience resemble the in-person experience as much as possible. This shift in user behavior is positive, making the change towards a more natural way of collaboration.

Plutoview is solving this problem by providing easy access to synchronous distance learning using virtualization technology instead of screen sharing. This technology enables students and educators to work in perfect synchrony from multiple browser windows/tabs at the same time, dramatically decreasing coordination efforts and making the whole process feel more like its happening offline in the same room.

As a first-mover in the space of synchronous research and web collaboration, we’re revolutionizing the way remote education is done by improving collaboration processes for educators and students alike. With the increased need in the market for distance learning, our tool helps educators and remote organizations make their remote synchronous collaboration feel like home.
