Now that you are ready to begin borrowing and earning interest, follow this step by step guide to set up your account on the Plutus lending app.
Create An Account
Create an account and register your details. To verify that you are using a valid contact email, a verification code will be sent to your email address. If you were invited by someone to the Plutus app, input the Invitation code or otherwise leave it blank.
Create a 8–16 character alphanumeric password. You will be asked to enter a 6-digit verification code; this code is required each time that you return to the Plutus app if you left it momentarily to use other apps on your smartphone.
When your account is created, you will see the home screen. It provides you with a summary of the following:-
- Wallet balance
- Total interest earned
- Token deposited
- Available tokens for use
Verify Your Identity
Complete your profile by filling in your personal information and setting security for access to your account.
You will also need to verify your identity by submitting a copy of your national identity card. You can opt to have a profile photo uploaded to your account as well.
Deposit Tokens
Before you can trade on the Plutus app, you will need to deposit tokens into your account.
Touch the Plutus Capital logo at the bottom right corner of your phone screen to bring up a number of options.
Click on ‘Deposits’ and choose the token that you would like to deposit: BTC, ETH, PLT, USDT.
Follow the instructions to complete the process. Your wallet balance will be reflected on the home screen.
A benefit of depositing funds on the Plutus app is the attractive interest rate that the app pays to users. The app pays out 12% per annum, which is the highest interest rate in the market for both traditional and crypto financial institutions.
Therefore, if you deposit $1,000 on the Plutus app, you will receive $120 by the end of the year. Whereas on traditional financial platforms, the interest received is only $35.
How to Borrow
To borrow on the Plutus platform, collateral in the form of other cryptocurrency must be provided.
Bring up the option screen, and select ‘Borrow’.
Choose which cryptocurrency you would like to borrow: BTC, ETH, PLT, USDT and input the amount of tokens you wish to borrow. At the next screen, input the weekly interest that you’re able to repay and the repayment period, which starts from 6 to 24 months.
If you are staking cryptocurrency, choose the cryptocurrency and the amount. Indicate the repayment period, starting from 6 to 36 months. The total interest payable is indicated below each repayment period. Follow the indications on screen and complete the borrowing process.
Once your request to borrow has been approved, the balance of the cryptocurrency will be updated in your wallet balance.
Exchanging PLT for USDT & Vice Versa
Once you have earned some interest or PLT, you can opt to keep your funds on the app to earn more interest. You can also choose to withdraw them in USDT.
To withdraw your PLT in USDT, touch the Plutus Capital logo at the bottom right corner of your phone screen to bring up the options. Select OTC, and choose to convert PLT to USDT.
Enter the amount of PLT that you would like to covert to USDT, and press the Confirm bottom. Your wallet will immediately be updated with the USDT that you have exchange for.
Conversely, you can also use the OTC function to convert USDT in your account into PLT.
This time, after selection the OTC option from the pop-up menu, choose the option to convert USDT to PLT. Then input the amount of USDT that you would like to convert. You be immediately be shown how much PLT you will receive.
To proceed with the exchange, press the convert button. The amount of PLT will immediately be reflected in your wallet.
Join the Plutus Community
