Announcing the PlutusDEX Private BETA—Defining the Plutus Experience
Dear Plutoneers and Crypto Fans,
Thank you for your engagement, enthusiasm, and suggestions, particularly in the lead up to our launch. Recently, both our code- and user-base have undergone significant development and as a result, Plutus is delighted to present the first of several major updates — the launch of the PlutusDEX BETA.
This is the first of several major releases as Plutus makes it way to its first production-ready release. At this stage we have decided to reward our early adopters, who have been with us since the beginning, with further opportunities to provide feedback and shape the future of Plutus in our quest to make it as user-friendly as possible.
Each update moves us closer to our original founding vision of providing an easy way to convert and spend digital currencies in everyday life. Get ready, because—
The PlutusDEX Private BETA starts now.
What is the PlutusDEX Private BETA?
We believe that cryptocurrency platforms need to take the time to understand the requirements of their users, as well as their preferred methods of trading. Cryptocurrencies have never existed in our history, and, as relatively early adopters of technologies like Bitcoin and Ethereum, we are all in this experiment together. It’s an exciting undertaking. This is why have created the Plutus BETA programme; so we can learn together.
PlutusDEX BETA — the first of our releases — is an early access opportunity to preview the workings of the brand new PlutusDEX, to try out its features, and share your perspectives on how we can make it even better. The purpose of the BETA is to improve the overall Plutus experience using the invaluable insight and feedback of our community.
During the BETA, testers will gain access to a testnet version of the PlutusDEX. Our next release will feature an online prototype of Plutus Tap & Pay to trial, challenge, and break. Trading and many more exciting features will be enabled as soon as the Tap & Pay prototype has been launched in the upcoming update.
How will it work?
Simply speaking, cooperation.
Our team will be prepared for any bug reports, constructive criticism and suggestions our private BETA users provide to improve the product. We want to get a clearer picture of how our audience envisions Plutus working in the future. Your feedback matters, and because we value an open discussion, we have set up a direct two-way communication channel in our Slack group where BETA participants can comment and discuss the BETA platform.
Which features will be available?
Starting with the private BETA launch, most vital DEX features will already be available, including:
- Account Management
- Account Verification
- Add Balance
- Add Payout Wallets
- Create Buy Orders
PLEASE NOTE: In these early stages, the BETA will only be using test currencies and that all features and aspects are still subject to change.
When will order matching and blockchain tracking go live?
Trading itself will begin shortly after the release of an online version of Plutus Tap & Pay, where users will be able to emulate the spending process in return for a fiat balance.
A second release, which incorporates the blockchain tracker and order matching, will follow shortly after to allow enough time to explore the initial features of the platform and provide valuable feedback. Participants will be notified via email as soon as it goes live.
Why did you decide to create a private and public beta test?
Due to a high volume of interest and a large subscriber list, we anticipate an influx of users as soon as the public BETA launches. Because of this, we want to work on improvements with our early adopters prior to the release. We want to get it right, and your feedback will help us do so, via the private BETA test.
Who can participate in the PlutusDEX Private BETA?
We believe all of you deserve exceptional recognition for being here from the beginning and have truly helped make Plutus a reality. Selection for the private BETA will be only be available to participants of the PLUTON sale.
Every week, up to 50 new users will be randomly selected to join the private BETA. Selected users will be sent unique access codes and other notifications by email. If you are interested in participating in the private BETA, head over to https://beta.plutus.it and secure your spot.
How long will the PlutusDEX Private BETA last?
Currently, there is no time limit on how long the private BETA test will last as several improvements and adjustments will have to be made based on feedback from our testers before Plutus can proceed into a public BETA.
Our product release roadmap after the private BETA is as follows — the public BETA release of the PlutusDEX, followed shortly by the release of the Plutus Tap & Pay mobile app for Android and iOS.
I have great ideas. How can I join and share my feedback?
In order to join the private BETA, you must have have participated in the Pluton token sale. You will also be required to complete basic KYC and to sign a non-disclosure agreement (also known as an “NDA”, which in our case will consist of terms and conditions followed by a simple checkbox).
P.S. If you did not take part in the token sale, and would still like a chance to participate and share your input — you will have the opportunity to do so via the upcoming public PlutusDEX BETA.
