Plutus Weekly Report — June 10th 2018
We’re back from the scenic and historic city of Amsterdam, Money20/20 Europe “The Greatest Show on Earth” has come to a close.
Every year Money 20/20 Europe, brings together some of the most promising FinTech start-ups in the industry under one roof. This years Carnival themed venue hosted the likes of Apple Co-Founder Steve Wozniak and Visa CEO Charlotte Hog on the speaking roster.
Plutus are honoured to have been selected out of 2000 applicants by Money2020 to attend Start Up Alley sponsored by Mastercard, as one of twenty of the most promising and innovative FinTech startups of 2018 — a roster hand picked by a independent panel of industry experts.
The Money20/20 Academy gave us the opportunity to share our vision for the future of money to more than 5000 attendees and 1500 other companies across the global financial spectrum.
We educated and demoed our products across the three day event: people tried out our freshly launched Tap & Pay app and we got to meet some great new contacts and possible future partners, generating interest from across the globe.
The most common sight? People clutching their maps and getting lost in the massive arenas. “Turn right by the Kraken booth, no, left!”
From the Carnival themed entrance, past virtual reality racing, to the ‘beach’ (a bar next to what appears to be an artificial lake), and there was no shortage of oddities to encounter.
All in all, the coffee was fantastic and the networking was productive. Money 20/20 Amsterdam has given us the opportunity to build connections that matter, and gain additional on-the-ground exposure for Plutus.
The Plutus team secured 1-on-1 meetings with leading finance executives, with whom we are actively pursuing cooperation.
We would also like to thank everyone at Money2020 for all the great work and putting together such a great conference full of entertainment and outstanding content!
The Plutus machine is powering through. Here are this week’s technical developments:
- IBAN integration for fiat deposits and withdrawals is progressing rapidly.
- Creating support documentation for GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation)
- Working on additional internal documentation and compliance for handling IBANs
