Plynth Update: Rolling into 2021

It’s been a long year, but not without updates. We wanted to let you all know what we’ve been working on, and where we’re going next:

First, we wanted to give a big thank-you to everyone who’s helped us so far–all the folks who took time to speak with us and provide feedback; our first customers for joining us in our vision; and especially the musicians who gave us their time and support, especially those who appeared on the first Postcard Mixtape.

Because of all of you and your help, we were able to hit a lot of big milestones:

• At the beginning of the year, we pivoted from a physical product to an app designed for creators
• Shortly afterward, Ariel joined the team full-time
• Dozens of artists and managers graciously offered their time to give us their feedback on our new direction
• We successfully developed and launched the Plynth app into Beta
• Our first paying customers signed on–first for the app, and then the Postcard Mixtape
• After a successful demo run, we started accepting signups for the Postcard Mixtape, kicking off next month

We’re looking forward to sending out the first official postcard mixtape next month–we’ve already got the 16 featured artists lined up and we’re ordering the postcards later this week. If you’d like to try a new way to discover music, sign up here.

So, where are we going in 2021? Well, with all your help, we’ve got a few big programs planned for next year:

• Building out the Postcard Mixtape–rounding out the offering and promoting more offerings
• Adding new features to the Plynth app, making it as fun and easy to use as possible
• Exploring new use cases and applications, with a focus on creating tools that uplift creators
• Supporting the music industry as it transitions to normal–or, at least, the new normal
