The MoSCoW method, also known as MoSCoW analysis or oSCoW prioritization, is a popular technique for prioritizing tasks during the development process. Created by Dai Clegg, it categorizes initiatives into four categories: must-have, should-have, could-have, and won’t-have.

To use the method, key stakeholders and the product team must agree on objectives and prioritization factors, as well as how to resolve disputes and allocate resources.

This method can help PMs prioritize tasks based on importance, budget constraints, skill sets, and resource availability, ensuring that the development of a product aligns with organizational goals and priorities.

By using the MoSCoW method, teams can make informed decisions and work towards common goals, leading to the successful delivery of a product that meets the needs of the target market.
