In this article we explain what Google Design Sprint is, how it works, and its benefits. The Design Sprint framework is based on the understanding of Design Thinking, and it was created by Google Ventures about five years ago.

Google Design Sprint is a shortcut for solving design problems quickly. It is a five-day process for answering critical business questions through design, prototyping, and testing ideas with final users and customers.

The Design Sprint is run by the Sprint Master, who is in charge of the event and leads the team towards a higher level of satisfaction and deliverables.

The Sprint Master starts by defining the problem and then works through six problem-solving ways to resolve the challenge: Understand, Diverge/Sketch, Decide, Prototype, Validate, and Implement.

Design Sprint can be used anytime during the design process to create a shared vision or to inject speed in the development process.

The benefits of running a Design Sprint are that it solves design problems quickly, provides user validation, allows you to fail early, offers a design perspective to Agile, and is a collaboration tool.
