They originally wanted to use Hotjar, a tool they use on their website, but found that it did not have an SDK for apps. They looked at other tools but found them to be expensive, so they decided to use Hotjar’s external link feature instead.

They worked with lead developers to create a smooth experience for users, using a popup that appears at the bottom of the screen. The development of this feature took one sprint and the team believes it is a fast, low-cost, and effective solution. The surveys can now be analyzed using Hotjar’s dashboard.
