We are proud to announce the successful security audit of the pNetwork DAO codebase performed by Cryptonics Consulting. And to show our unwavering commitment to security and open-source transparency, today we are adopting a continuous auditing approach to confirm all future pNetwork development initiatives.

In collaboration with Cryptonics Consulting, we will be providing reports for our major updates to guarantee successful deployments and a credible system.

A new standard in auditing

As the pNetwork fast approaches, along with its cross-chain composability products and governance staking initiatives, our team has been preparing for the responsibility that comes with building a revolutionary DeFi network.

Although blockchain technology is inherently transparent, immutable, and secure, it’s important to understand that projects within DeFi, or decentralized finance, can be as innovative as they are vulnerable. As the ecosystem evolves to include more complex systems of interoperability and composability — where technology that was previously siloed within its own blockchain is now able to connect, and smart contracts are able to work together to uncover new use cases — so too do opportunities evolve for attackers to uncover creative exploits.

In order to eliminate these potential breaches, and fuel positive growth in the market, we are answering the call to put forth a new auditing standard that not only delivers frequent, recurring evaluation by industry experts, but also makes clear any potential threats including the audit history, centralization index, and financial risks.

Why do we audit?

Auditing serves as an important intermediary in the development of DeFi projects. With the assistance of neutral and reputable third parties, auditing ensures that smart contracts have been configured according to best practices and that all processes are operating as intended. With thorough documentation on penetration testing and vulnerability scanning, auditing can also help improve a project by identifying its weaknesses and outlining areas for improvement.

But most importantly, auditing allows us to share our work with the community, as we commit to building exceedingly secure systems for the DeFi ecosystem.

Where can I find the full reports?

As detailed in our previous post, the p.Network DAO is based on Aragon — a global platform for hosting and managing community-run initiatives and online organizations. In adherence to best practices, the Aragon team routinely publishes its auditing reports archived here.

As for the custom features built by our team — including the Steroids Yield Farming initiative, in addition to code for the DAO itself– Cryptonics Consulting has confirmed a successful audit available to review here:

In anticipation of the pNetwork DAO, the first major step towards decentralizing the pTokens system, we welcome the community to review the results of our audit in full and prepare for a successful launch.
