Launching pNetwork’s NFTs Portal

Today, we are launching pNetwork Portals. A new PNT-powered cutting-edge feature enabling smart contracts living on different blockchains to interact with each other as if they were on the same network.
Every blockchain is a walled garden, locking out other cryptocurrencies and locking in its own liquidity. Today, we are launching the pNetwork Portals feature (cross-chain transfers of data) between two of the major smart contracts -enabled blockchains, Ethereum and the Binance Smart Chain.
Use-cases for pNetwork Portals range from collectables such as NFTs, DeFi applications and decentralized lending.
pNetwork’s NFTs Portal
The very first use-case for pNetwork Portals to be launched is pNetwork’s NFTs Portal, enabling NFTs to move across blockchains!
Non-fungible tokens (NFTs) are blockchain-based unique digital representations of an item such as artworks, music audios, videos or other forms of creative content.
The NFTs industry represents a fast-growing trend within the crypto market, attracting the attention of artists and collectors around the world. The trend has seen figures like Lindsay Lohan releasing custom NFTs as well as NFT artworks being sold at an exorbitant $69 Million at the famous Christie’s auction house.
Today, we are launching pNetwork’s NFTs Portal between Ethereum and the Binance Smart Chain. The portal enables Ethereum-based NFTs to be moved to the BSC ecosystem.
pNetwork’s NFTs Portal represents a paradigm shift for the NFTs industry, allowing projects and users to move NFTs cross-chain and making these digital-only artworks available across gaming platforms, dApps and collectables’ marketplaces on multiple blockchain networks. The first NFTs Portal is now live, connecting Ethereum and the Binance Smart Chain.
Sir EtherBlue Bunny has been chosen as the very first NFT to explore the BSC ecosystem via pNetwork’s NFTs Portal. This little Rarebit might not be the highest class of knight, but he’ll fight for his Ether friends at the top of a hat!

While pTokens provide a simple and secure system for assets to be moved cross-chain, pNetwork Portals is an additional and powerful feature built on top of pTokens that enables more advanced interactions across smart contracts on different blockchain ecosystems.
From a technical perspective, pNetwork Portals work as adapters converting actions on one blockchain into actions on another network. No change is required on dApps side for pNetwork Portals to interact with them.
The pNetwork Portals feature is designed with flexibility in mind, hence it covers a broad range of use-cases, the cross-chain NFTs being one of those. More technical details will be provided in the coming days for anyone to get started building across blockchains.
