We are happy to announce that pNetwork, a cross-chain composability system that allows assets and Non-Fungible-Tokens (NFTs) to move freely between blockchains, has successfully integrated with Polygon (previously Matic network) mainnet as the go-to transparent and progressively decentralized cross-chain solution.

The pNetwork x Polygon collaboration has released today the first pNetwork-powered bridge to Polygon, connecting it with EOS. The cross-chain connection enables the EOS asset and EOS-based tokens to be moved onto Polygon and is now available for all Polygon users and its growing DeFi ecosystem.

As an evolution of the Matic network, Polygon is the first well-structured, easy-to-use platform for Ethereum scaling and infrastructure development. Its core component, Polygon SDK, is a modular, flexible framework that supports building and connecting two major types of solutions: secured chains (aka Layer 2 chains) and stand-alone chains (aka Sidechains). In other words, Polygon effectively transforms Ethereum into a full-fledged multi-chain system.

By integrating with pNetwork, Polygon gains the ability to support a large variety of crypto assets as well as cross-chain interoperability functionalities with major blockchains.

pNetwork powers the highest number of cross-chain connections in the industry, enabling assets and data to be transferred across networks. As pNetwork nodes continue to power a growing ecosystem, the project is focused on enabling meaningful connections between multiple blockchain environments.

pNetwork and Polygon both value interoperability across protocols as a key element for blockchain technology to succeed. This collaboration comes with the shared aim to provide users with a robust, interconnected and scalable solution for DeFi enthusiasts and dApp builders alike.

The pNetwork-powered EOS-Polygon bridge is the first cross-chain solution directly connecting the EOS blockchain and dApps with an interconnected Ethereum-based scaling solution. The Polygon and pNetwork duo, therefore, create an accessible and scalable EOS-Ethereum powerhouse.

EOS, the native token on the EOS blockchain, is a top20 cryptocurrency by market cap and the engine powering one of the most active dApps ecosystems. pEOS and other pTokens are Polygon-compatible tokens pegged 1:1 with their underlying assets.

pNetwork nodes power the EOS-Polygon bridge, creating a secure and transparent way for the two networks to communicate. Automated tokenisation of EOS for it to become Polygon-compatible is available for anyone via the pTokens dApp. By doing this, users effectively port the assets onto Polygon and can start using them in the growing Polygon DeFi space.

About pNetwork

The pNetwork is the underlying architecture for pTokens, a cross-chain system enabling assets to move frictionlessly from one blockchain to another. Currently, pTokens enable the transparent interaction among major blockchain protocols, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, EOS and Dogecoin. pNetwork is the progressively decentralized governance layer operating the pTokens bridges and pNetwork Portals. It is home to the pNetwork DAO and the ecosystem’s governance token PNT.

About Polygon (Formerly Matic)

Polygon is the first well-structured, easy-to-use platform for Ethereum scaling and infrastructure development. Its core component is Polygon SDK, a modular, flexible framework that supports building and connecting Secured Chains like Plasma, Optimistic Rollups, zkRollups, Validium etc and Standalone Chains like Matic POS, designed for flexibility and independence. Polygon’s Layer 2 Chains have seen widespread adoption with 90+ Dapps, ~7M txns and ~200K unique users.

If you’re an Ethereum Developer, you’re already a Polygon developer! Leverage Polygon’s fast and secure txns for your Dapp, get started here.
