A few months ago we launched a StackExchange Bounty DApp to encourage people to get involved in the StackExchange world.

StackExchange is a Q&A platform that makes it easier for newbies and experts of different fields (150+ topics, including Ethereum and Bitcoin) to interact and share knowledge.

Thanks to the StackExchange Bounty DApp, users can sponsor questions they are interested in. This gives other users a reason to answer there more valuable questions. The DApp’s main goal is to increase community engagement through an economic incentive for users participation.

Version 2.0

We’ve been updating and improving both the interface and the smart contract desing since the Proof of Concept release. Version 2.0 is now live on the Morden testnet!

We completely rebuilt the user interface in Angular 2 to make it easier to understand and maintain. The new code is commented & linted for your viewing pleasure. The Angular interface is more user friendly and improves upon the loading/caching system to speed things up a bit. It also adds some more visual feedback to make the submission process clearer. It’s even built mobile-first (try it on your smart phone!).

The smart contract behind the DApp is now unit tested. It’s open source (on our GitHub), so you can check it out for yourself.

Last but not least… MetaMask integration!

MetaMask makes question sponsorship even easier — no more messy unlocked accounts on local nodes (although you can, if you want), just simple transactions via your MetaMask wallet!

Try it out, share knowledge and give us feedback! :)

Note: The company has now rebranded into Provable.
