Pobble is an approach to teaching writing that is used by tens of thousands of teachers each day. We provide teachers with everything they need to teach writing: great resources, real handwritten examples, peer to peer commenting and moderation tools.

We know implementation of school-wide initiatives isn’t always easy. That’s why, when you become a Pobble school, you’ll have the support of our Customer Happiness Team. Our team take customer happiness very seriously. We support our school communities with step-by-step action plans, training days, online training videos and supporting materials and we’re always on hand. We love to communicate with Pobble users and always welcome interactions with our community. With that in mind, we thought we’d give you a little insight into our team: who we are, what makes us tick and most importantly why we love Pobble so much!

Meet Henry

Who are you?
I’m Henry Smith, an experienced English Leader and Year 6 Teacher and a proud co-founder of Pobble. Teaching, especially writing, has always been a huge passion of mine.

How long have you been with Pobble?
Since it started as LendMeYourLiteracy (LMYL) — around 8 years ago. My classroom was one of the first to try LMYL and explore its potential and impact.

What is your role in the team?
As part of the Customer Happiness Team, my role is ensuring Pobble is successful for all schools we work with. This involves whatever is required: creating new content, staff training, online demonstrations, phone calls and emails.

How does your role help schools?
Pobble is a wonderful way to make writing special and exciting for children and also make life much easier for teachers. Implementation is very important and much of my role involves working with schools to ensure that this is done effectively.

Why do you work for Pobble?
I have always been passionate about inspiring children to write. Writing should be exciting and Pobble does this in such a special way. Literacy skills are so important for children so that they fulfil their potential in whatever they choose to do in the future.

What is the best part of your role?
Seeing schools thrive, whether that’s inspired children, proud parents or empowered teachers. If you’re keen to find out how teachers using Pobble, have a read of my blog.
