Pocket Network grows from the support and contribution of the community, which is why we want to spotlight our community members who’ve used the Pocket SDK to develop a DApp.

In this featured post we’d like to introduce Divyajyoti, who, along with his teammates, created an app called Swift Transfer which was developed at the Codebreak 1.0 hackathon from India.

What was that app you and your team created?

An E-wallet mobile application integrated with the blockchain for making international transactions faster and cheaper. Wallet to wallet International transaction details are audited by blockchain.

How many people helped you in making the app?

Our app was built by the three of us. Particularly, me handling the Blockchain connectivity part with the help and support of Pocket Network.

What made you decide to use Pocket?

For the blockchain connectivity, we required Android APIs which led us to use Pocket’s Android plugin for a simple connection.

What were the challenges you encountered and how did you overcome them?

The challenges we ran into were how to simplify KYC, secure wallet storage, API callbacks, integrating blockchain in the Android app. Pocket’s APIs simplified the task of integrating Ethereum blockchain into the App. The wallet storage was still a challenge but we manually encrypted and stored it.

The Pocket developer team played a very important role in helping us understand the documentation and how to effectively make use of the API calls. They were part of the project in every step. They even resolved the issues in the libraries that were behaving oddly.

What are you looking forward to with Pocket and its ecosystem?

I hope Pocket resolves the issues that surfaced during our journey in the app development and document the features it can provide in detail.

Anything you would like to say or shoutout?

I would proudly say that Pocket Team is among the best responsive teams and the first one for me. I deeply enjoyed working with the developer & co-founder Luis!
