The two newest companies joining the Podfund portfolio share a passion for exceptional storytelling and ambitions that extend beyond audio. Revery is focused on fiction with cinematic scope, and Dot Dot Dot takes a journalistic approach, exploring technology through a human lens.

Revery Media: Revery is a development and production studio using podcasts and AI-driven narrative analysis to build engaged audiences around IP with a clear path to adaptation in TV, film, and location-based entertainment. Focused on producing premium scripted fiction audio series, Revery is marrying Hollywood talent with innovative storytelling and premium sound design. The Seelig Group, who has operated as 20th Century Fox’s slate financier since 2012, is Revery’s lead investor. Jon Jashni (former President and Chief Creative Officer of Legendary Entertainment), Jim Berk (former CEO of PodcastOne and Participant Media), and Laura Walker (former CEO of WNYC and New York Public Radio) sit on Revery’s board of advisors.

Dot Dot Dot: Dot Dot Dot is a news and entertainment company that explores the intersection of tech and humanity, covering topics like mental health, love and sex, ethics, and the unintended consequences of technology in our daily lives. Dot Dot Dot’s first production is First Contact, a weekly podcast series that explores the people and technology that are changing what it means to be human. The original series is produced by Dot Dot Dot Media and distributed by iHeartMedia. In addition to podcasts, Dot Dot Dot is developing and producing nonfiction and scripted films, series and streaming content. Dot Dot Dot is founded by award-winning journalist, technology reporter and entrepreneur Laurie Segall, and Derek Dodge, a media executive who has held roles at CNN, Discovery and MTV Networks. Segall is a correspondent for CBS News and “60 In 6,” the news program being developed by “60 Minutes” for Quibi, the short-form video hub run by Jeffrey Katzenberg and Meg Whitman. As CNN’s former senior technology correspondent and editor-at-large for CNN Tech, Segall covered the intersection of technology and culture for more than a decade before launching Dot Dot Dot in 2019.
