In the early days of quarantine, Ira Glass almost broke the podcasting internet when he invited us into his new humble home studio in a tux and bare feet.

This was just weeks before This American Life won the Pulitzer Prize for “The Out Crowd” episode.

It got us wondering, what are our other favorite podcasters doing during quarantine?

99% Invisible’s Avery Trufelman launched a new season of Articles of Interest in a fashionable PJ set paired with “straight up tumeric” on her eyes.

If this isn’t the best isolation launch for a fashion pod, we don’t know what is.

Get listening to the first episode of Avery’s Season 2 of Articles of Interest about high fashion dolls that the Parisian government commissioned in post-war Paris: “The Fantasy of Fashion”.

Alex Goldman is recording Reply All in what looks like an actual man cave.

We can already hear the echoes of Alex’s hilarious laugh. Find out where he is and what he and PJ will be up to in the coming weeks.

Vox’s Today, Explained host Sean Rameswaram built a pillow fort in his closet.

We’re glad that instead of taking a nap there, he decided to create a very important episode about why we’re having strange quarantine dreams.

Now Sean is excited to get out of his pillow fort to practice safe social distancing.

Hear his interview with Vox’s science reporter Brian Resnick on why six feet apart is the magic number.

The WaitWhat team behind the Meditative Stories podcast sent their host Rohan Gunatillake a home podcast recording kit, which, according to Rohan, looks like a nuclear briefcase.

Perhaps soothing meditative prompts and inspiring stories will take your mind off this scary thought and the virus. Change the soundtrack of your life with Rohan.

If you’re curious what’s inside, the WaitWhat team spills the beans here.

In more hilarious news, Jon Lovett challenges Lovett or Leave It listeners to spell Elon Musk and Grimes’ baby’s name.

Can you beat them? Join the first-ever “Lovett or Leave It Quarantine Spelling Bee” in the full episode here.

Jon’s dare-we-say-better-half, Ronan Farrow, also popped by a few episodes to give relationship advice to couples working from home.

You know when The Catch and Kill podcast host is on the show when you hear “Jonathan! Jonathan! Jonathan!” Hear listeners swoon at Ronan’s surprise appearances.

Planet Money’s The Indicator podcast crew is pure #SquadGoals.

Armed with cats and blankets, this crew is working hard to bring you top-notch reporting on the pandemic’s impact on the economy like “What will workplaces look like in the COVID-19 era?” We’re guessing blankets are preferably out of many podcasters’ equations.

Frank Shyong shows off his “cloffice” setup where he’s recording new episodes of LA Times’ Asian Enough podcast in time for Asian History Month.

We imagine Frank daydreaming out his window about funny things like the satirical menu in Ali Wong’s Always Be My Maybe. You can listen to his interview with the chef of the menu, Niki Nakayama, here.

Relationship expert Esther Perel of Where Should We Begin? has reached her breaking point of living in lockdown and bursted into a rant.

We hear you, Esther. Listen to her new mini-series counselling couples under lockdown. Start with this pair from the centre of the US epidemic in New York, New York.

Radiotopia is hosting delightful podcast listening and drawing parties for listeners!

They challenged listeners to draw the logo of the This Day In Esoteric Political History podcast. Can you do it? Here’s a huge hint.

Oh, and this was one of the episodes they were listening to if you were curious. It’s a classic.

Song Exploder’s Hrishikesh Hirway’s niece wants to be a co-host on his new quarantine Home Cooking podcast with Samin Norsat.

Is there anything more adorable? It’s easy to know why his niece loves the podcast so much. Hear Hrishikesh, Samin, and guest Yo-Yo Ma talk about why chicken butt is delicious.

How I Built This’ Guy Raz attended a Zoom birthday party with his family.

It’s not always about business with Guy. Check out his new How I Built Resilience series starting with none other than the birthday cake queen Christina Tosi of Milk Bar here.

My Favorite Murder’s Georgia Hardstark gives us a tour of her backyard, which has been a source of solace for her during these trying times.

But now back to murder with Karen Kilgariff for an episode about a workplace killing and a flashlight in *cough* a backyard.

Marc Maron of WTF with Marc Maron modeled stylish face masks for his fans.

His message: Wear your masks, because otherwise, what. the. bleep.

So do as your told and then treat yourself to Marc’s chat with Cate Blanchett about Lord of the Rings, playing Bob Dylan, and why she’s so hard on herself all the time.

Cheers! NPR’s Code Switch team toasted the launch of their new series about the US census.

This bunch looks pretty trustworthy, but should you trust the US Census Bureau with your personal information? Listen to what they figured out here.

These doggies have been secretly helping the hosts of CBC Podcasts’ Secret Life of Canada produce the show.

And they’re probably assisting Falen Johnson and Leah-Simone Bowen decipher the mystery behind two legendary creatures: the Sasquatch and Ogopogo. Hear what the canines discovered about the creatures here.

A GOAT butted in a CBC Podcasts staff video call. Yes, an actual 🐐 from the UK.

You know who else is the G.O.A.T? Frank Gehrey. Listen to the 91-year-old legendary architect reflect about his life in an interview with radio-turned-podcast host, Anna Maria Tremonti, who is arguably the G.O.A.T of Canadian radio herself.

Crime Junkie’s Brit Prawat has a new co-worker who takes her “tiptop” to work every day.

Did you just melt in cuteness? Because we did. Maybe she’s helping her mom on the episode to help solve the murder of two Indianapolis women.

When he’s not podcasting, Kid Fury, half of The Read, is attending dog concerts and making Carnival flags on Animal Crossing.

But he’s really sick of Bunny Day on the island though. Hear his epic rant at the end of this The Read episode.

Comedian Nicole Byer of Why Won’t You Date Me? has been teaching herself some sweet pole-dancing moves.

All while hosting three podcasts at the same time. What a queen.

While you re-evaluate your workout choices, hear Nicole and her friends chat about the pitfalls of remote workouts.

Do you need something to do during quarantine too?
