A Gathering

a poem

Words gather round

Quietly spoken, yet

Eloquently carrying beauty

My words dripping from

The lips and eyes peeling

Your words slide from your

Tongue so effortlessly

Lie upon lie — believed

Beauty of words turned

Like curdled milk

Leaving a nasty taste in my mouth

Tell no lies, please let it go

My truths, my words

Turned sour by the

Poison consuming you

My words remain as such

A gathering — elegant

Quietly spoken and

Eloquently carrying beauty

Thank you for reading the poem. :)
