“man wearing teal collard shirt walking through couple of people” by Matt McNulty on Unsplash

they were two, walking in front of me
observing was I, from a distance

on the left, a skinny chap, open t-shirt
phone in hand, bluetooth headsets doned

on the right, a more skinny chappy
empty hands, no headsets, t-shirt closed

maybe delusional I am, it seems abnormal
left listening to songs, right looking ahead

walking together, left together from home
what for? a song separates a friendship?

is it why I walk alone? must I too ignore?
so I get the privilege, of walking head high

must I forget the age old manners too?
must I act a jerk? to live the new century life…

Thanks for reading! :)
