I’m drowning in an ocean of my worries

They come but never leave, always lurking

Like inevitable waves of stories

A huge tidal wave, crashing and hurting

I’m suffocating, help! I can’t breathe now

I’m sinking into an ocean of fears

Stop thinking, stop thinking please show me how

It’s hard to resurface as morning nears

Now, I have stopped all forms of breathing

At peace with myself, no tears left to cry

This sensation, it feels so relieving

I can stop thinking now, I didn’t even try

The soft sunlight against my skin, I woke

Sad. Peace, the feeling I wish to evoke
