Poems For Insomnia

--

Sometimes I daydream about being held

laying entwined with you,

legs laced,

arms wrapped

A perfect sleep

your heartbeat in time with mine,

protecting me through the dark

Perhaps my dreams are illusions of fantasy

for when I lay held by you,

legs trapped,

arms slick,

Your breathing chases me into the night,

crushing my existence

suffocating
