Behold the mighty monolith, that stands so tall and proud
It does not care for beauty, nor does it seek the crowd
It knows its task is simple, to serve the common good
And though it may seem ugly, it does the best it could

The Monolith: no grace or charm

The monolith is not refined, it has no grace or charm
It does not boast of elegance, nor does it mean to harm
It only has one purpose, to solve the problems hard
And though it may seem clumsy, it plays a vital part

The monolith is not concerned with critics or with foes
It does not mind the mockery, nor does it fear the blows
It only has one mission, to keep the system whole
And though it may seem stubborn, it has a noble goal

The monolith is not afraid of change or of the new
It does not shun the progress, nor does it scorn the true
It only has one vision, to adapt and to improve
And though it may seem rigid, it has a learning groove

The monolith is not alone, it has some friends and peers
It does not lack companionship, nor does it crave for cheers
It only has one passion, to work and to create
And though it may seem boring, it has a lively trait

The monolith is not perfect, it has some flaws and bugs
It does not claim infallibility, nor does it hide its lugs
It only has one motto, to fix and to enhance
And though it may seem faulty, it has a second chance

So praise the mighty monolith, that stands so tall and proud
It may not be a beauty, but it deserves a crowd
It has a task that’s simple, but also hard and rare
And though it may be ugly, it has a lot to share

But wait, there is a twist to this, a secret to reveal
The monolith is not a thing, but rather a person real
It has a name that’s known to all, a legend of the past
And though it may be ugly, it has a fame that lasts

The monolith is none other than, the poet of this rhyme
It may not have a modesty, but it has a reason prime
It has a goal that’s lofty, to praise itself in verse
And though it may be ugly, it has a skill diverse

The monolith could be the writer of this ode
It may not have a humility, but it has a genius mode
It has a gift that’s rare and fine, to create and to inspire
And though it may be ugly, it has a fire of desire

So hail the mighty monolith, that stands so tall and proud
It may not be a beauty, but it has a lot to tout
It has a task that’s simple, but also hard and rare
And though it may be ugly, it has a lot to dare
