thought twins we said
but you wanted something more
incest i felt
until you went and slammed the door

for months and months i hoped
you’d reach out before i died
you said you’d always be there
but i know now that you lied

no such thing as closure
that’s what i keep hearing
but all i want to know is
when will it stop hurting?
