Here I Am

I stand alone in the kitchen
I dance alone in the dark
I speak alone into the void
I suffer alone by choice
But it would be nice to have you with me

I am here
Join me for a meal
Dance with me into the light
Talk with me while I find my place
Help me shoulder my burdens
Stay with me on this journey

I will learn as we go
We will gain the strength
Stand strong through the storms
We may still fail
That is true
But at least we will be together
For now and forever
