We’re extremely excited to announce our partnership with theMaven Network, Inc. — an expert-driven digital media network that creates tools for publications and allows content creators to have the ability to better manage and distribute their works. Po.et will provide Maven publishers with the ability to time stamp and time-license their content in an unalterable system that will automatically issue digital ownership certificates.

One of the most exciting aspects about our partnership is the scale to which TheMaven is already built. TheMaven’s content creators currently serve more than 40 million users. Each of these users also will now be exposed to Po.et, which become their primary source of registration and licensing information for every work distributed through the platform. We could not be more thrilled at the exposure Maven will provide.

Po.et will immediately provide value to TheMaven’s partners through its time-stamping technology. Publications and content creators have the ability to build a digital fingerprint of their history and manage a unalterable, permanent journalistic portfolio. For the first time, creators will have complete ownership over their digital works. Any decisions regarding how content is used or repurposed are up to the discretion of its creator.

TheMaven also recently acquired HubPages, a digital-publishing platform geared toward niche creators that covers uniquely selected topics. The acquisition represents Maven’s plan to bring their platform to mainstream publishers as the company moves to sell its first large-scale ad packages in 2018. Business Insider provides more information on this acquisition.

TheMaven was launched by James Heckman, an extremely successful media executive and member of the Po.et advisory board. Heckman previously founded Rivals.com and led media and advertising initiatives at Yahoo. Maven’s leadership team also includes executive co-chair Josh Jacobs, the former CEO of Accuen Media.

Above all, this partnership is extremely important because both Po.et and TheMaven are working toward the same mission: to help content creators better protect and monetize the value of their work. We’re confident that Maven’s content creators will quickly learn to value the benefits of blockchain technology and decentralization.
