The Long Run

This is an exciting time in the life of Po.et. As I mentioned last week, we are in full build (BUIDL!) mode. Po.et is currently being strengthened and matured to scale at web capacity, not just from an accessibility set but from a volume set as well. We want the world using Po.et. We want to enable all people to have the opportunity to OWN their work, manage their access (via licenses) and capitalize on discovery (via marketplaces and partnerships). Po.et will be a technology that’s standard in Web 3.0. It will be the tool that builds reputation in the creative set (like Uber did for drivers and like TripAdvisor did for restaurants and hotels), to give value back to the creators and highlight their individual value in the marketplace. It will also be the core utility for companies large and small, for community and creators to use to better connect security and discovery, all toward the end goal of having a new ecosystem that’s built for creators, by creators.

The decisions we make today affect the product of tomorrow. So we’re being extremely smart about every step we take to ensure that this is the best product for all of you. That means obsessing over how we transact on licenses, how we build discovery in the marketplace and also how we onboard large, established partners. All of these are not just front-end feature sets but core systems necessary to maintain and be better, more scalable options, when it comes to volume and utility, than others out there.

Po.et gave the opening remarks at the Ethereal VIP kickoff celebration last Thursday alongside Joseph Lubin (picture below). I welcomed everyone to Blockchain Week NYC and highlighted the mission and value of Po.et: to bring creators value and utility in this next wave of technology. On Friday, I presented at CDX (picture below) around empowering creators through new ways of licensing and discovery. This week, we are on-site at Consensus NYC, participating in key meetings and strategy sessions on how to make Po.et more powerful than ever. And tomorrow, I present at the Block’s Internet of Value and Money in NYC. As you can see, we’re not just in build mode but in communication mode as well.

In the coming months, we will be updating and releasing features as promised. This will come with more testing, usage by you all and improve the quality of our product. It will also move us closer to opening up the doors to bigger partnerships. Po.et is top of mind for all media companies in the space thinking about how to enable and build on blockchains. That’s why we’re so hard at work making a platform strong enough and valuable enough for them to build on. It’s all coming together, and I’m excited you’re all taking the ride with us.

Many more exciting things to come.
