Weekly Update

A Community to Be Proud of …

Last week was a historic week for Po.et. We officially announced our partner program, Po.et Development Labs (POEDL!), and the first development partner on the protocol, Inkrypt. As explained in my blog post (https://blog.po.et/the-creator-economy-po-et-development-labs-inkrypt-the-builder-community-235440cb05c4), the program will enable us to invest in and provide a platform for media companies and creators everywhere to utilize blockchain technology. Not only will these investments strengthen the Po.et protocol, but they will benefit our tremendous community as well by helping us reach our milestones more quickly and at scale with new and exciting initiatives.

This announcement made a major splash throughout the crypto community and overall media space. TechCrunch cited that we want “developers to see Po.et in a similar manner to Ethereum, a place where they can build applications making use of the underlying blockchain technology.” This is the community of Po.et. coverage included:

Separately, we were also mentioned in AdWeek’s article about Facebook and blockchain technology: https://www.adweek.com/digital/heres-what-facebook-might-be-exploring-when-it-comes-to-blockchain-technology/.

As you can see, Po.et is everywhere. We are the blockchain solution for the publishing and media space, and this coverage proves that our work is not going unnoticed. In fact, it’s influence is being spread across the entire world.

With that, we want to open it up further by recognizing all the incredible work our community is doing as well. Today, we are launching the Po.et Developer Community Spotlight. You can read about the program here: https://blog.po.et/po-et-developer-community-spotlight-may-2018-a1c090cebc5c, which includes community developer interviews with Alec Chan, JellyBool (ShaoHuai Huang) and Bryan Isbell. As Dave explains, the Po.et developer community has a great history of building products that solve real needs for our creators. As a way to show our gratitude, we wanted to start spotlighting a few of our community members who have decided to build on top of Po.et and give them a chance to tell everyone a little bit about what they’re working on.

If you want to showcase some of what you’ve been working on and talk about how it incorporates Po.et, shoot us an email to contact@po.et and include “Developer Spotlight” in the subject line.

Finally, I will be doing an AMA on Monday, June 11, at 12 p.m. EST. By popular demand, we will be taking questions prior so that we can open it up to the entire community regardless of time zone. We will send an email alias to send questions to later this week, and we look forward to everyone’s contributions.

Go Po.et.
