Weekly Update

Thanks for the support, everyone. Recently, we’ve seen some of you ask questions about our road map: When will new products release, and what are our main areas of focus?

As you know, we are very transparent at Po.et. We do our weekly updates on Tuesday to make sure we keep the community informed on our progress, whereabouts and future plans. Beyond that, we’re constantly working hard to keep Po.et top of mind in the press trades, making sure that we are not just focusing on where we are now but letting the world know where we are going. These are the foundational blocks of Po.et, and it’s just the beginning.

AmaZix does an incredible job getting your questions to us in a timely manner, and we make it a priority to answer them thoroughly while maintaining focus on our strategy and deliverables. This community is extremely important to us. Let me rephrase that; this community is critical to our success. You are all a part of Po.et. And I can honestly say from the bottom of my heart that we have the greatest group of people in this industry, period. Between our tech, our community and our mission, we are going to build something that will change the world for the better.

And speaking about transparency, I want to give you a deeper look into what we’re working on and what to expect in the coming weeks.

Po.et aims to be the platform for the world’s creative assets. You’ve heard me say this 1,000 times. Now it’s 1,001. :) Kidding aside, I repeat it so frequently because it’s an extremely important undertaking that takes a lot of work. We are building a technology platform and marketplace for everyone in the world to use. To do that, we need to be stable, scalable and significant.

We removed the dates on our road map for the Gutenberg Era in order to be agile and productive with flexibility in mind. Eric details it beautifully here: https://blog.po.et/the-po-et-roadmap-more-value-faster-3dcf339f771f, and he goes deeper into the benefits of “Why?” This is also to make sure that we’re not only committed to the features but strengthening the platform as well. We are building a platform for millions of users. That means building better systems, better code quality, process flows, continuous delivery, scalability support and more to maintain that amount of usage. When we talk about being the platform for the world’s creative assets, we aren’t kidding. And since we’re serious, our tech needs to be as well.

But what about licensing, the marketplace and everything else? That’s all coming. We’re making sure to not just release features for the sake of releasing features. We want to release features that are tested, ready and a benefit of use for all of you. We know that’s important to you, and trust me, it’s important to us. Dave is currently working through it as we speak, and as I mentioned a week or so ago, he will provide updates shortly as to when you can expect iterative releases of them.

Po.et is moving, developing and marketing faster and further than ever. We’re presenting at major events, pushing forward on our products and growing at rapid pace. And don’t forget, Po.et is THE company that is bringing blockchain technology to publishing, http://adage.com/article/qaa/q-a-jarrod-dicker-blockchain-publishing/312379/. Even Google thinks so (search: blockchain publishing).

As always, please reach out with any and all questions. We’re building this together, and I can’t express how excited we are to update you on all of the progress we’ll be making over the next few months.

Go Po.et.
