Riding Upon their Shoulders

Most of the problems we try to solve today are those that have been solved by people in the past. And there’s nothing new anymore, only improvements. As a kid, I remember always asking my sister to carry me on her shoulders whenever I felt left out from a scene. When on her shoulder, it was like heaven, you were happy to quickly turn your eyes around, talk and laugh because now, you could see everything clearly and I no longer need to move on my own but with the legs of my sister.
Isaac Newton says, “I have seen further than others, it's by standing upon the shoulders of giants”.

Let's go for a ride.

One good thing you’ll do for yourself if you want to solve those problems or accomplish that great feat is to follow and learn from those who faced those challenges and solved them.

To ride on someone’s shoulder is to position yourself where you can see well, it is to accomplish a task or goal. It’s an act of consciously seeking out help from those well-positioned to offer such help.
It's a support mechanism, it's more than mentorship, it's sponsorship one will know you need help if you don't ask for it. Not having formal education or experience in something is not even an excuse not to do well. Life throws different sheets at people, again it isn't an excuse not to perform. Nowadays people talk about role models, mentorship, sponsorship, etc. All in a bid to establish this principle of riding on the shoulders of those who have gone before you.
You are looking to be a great fashion designer, educator, or writer? then look into those that are well accomplished in this area and follow them either closely or from afar.

5 Reasons you should ride on their shoulders

  1. To see far, gain insights to achieve your goals and set targets.

2. To understand the problems and the solutions alike

3. To be emotionally, financially and physically supported.

4. To shorten your learning curve and improve your self-confidence.

5. To have someone who will speak for you behind closed doors to God or men
