Eureka and Psyche are good friends.
They are chatting during the coffee break time. Eureka: Hey, what’s wrong? You look upset. What happened? Psyche: I was fooled by a sister in the church. Eureka: Could you tell me more details of the situation? Psyche: This sister seems to have an outward form of godliness, looks like pious and devout. When I was a newcomer in the church, she welcomed me warmly and showed me kindness. I mistakenly thought that I could trust her, so I confided to her the ordeals of my life. After knowing my weakness, she changed her attitude. She despised my background. Besides, she cursed me in God’s name. She is a “confidence “woman . She could trick me before I realized where I was. Eureka: Let me guess, the one you are talking about is XXXXXX. Psyche: Wow, that ‘s amazing! How did you know? You are really well informed. Eureka: I ‘m flattered. Actually, She is the bane in the church. One rotten apple spoils the barrel.
She was born with a silver spoon in her mouth and she’d inherited all the good-looking genes. A beautiful woman like her can easily turn men around her fingers and have them carry out anything she asks.
Those life episodes nourished in her a self-centered, egoistic, dominant personality.
Psyche: It seems that the world is her oyster. No, the church is her oyster. She can do whatever she wants. Eureka: Now that she is old, no man will surround her and treat her as the princess. Her attitude to you is a compensation for her loss. She stepped on your dignity to satisfy her fragile ego. In Chinese there is a saying Psyche: What does it mean? May you elaborate on this Chinese poem for me?
