the Nobel committee said.

But will rechargeable batteries
ever be good enough, to quell a burning
planet? In northern California a power company slashes service,
to cut the risk of forest fires.

The prospects are looking saltier as ghost forests awaken.
Saltwater is killing woodlands along the East Coast,
sometimes surprisingly far from the sea.
A screen beckons, choose your weapon: thunder, fire, or water.
