A Journey

Into the wild blue yonder.

Getting up and going
Despite the destination
Gives spirit to the journey
And provides the motivation
To travel on the road
To places yet unknown
And to join with the breeze
And go to where it’s blowing
On the highways and the byways
In little nooks and crannies
Past a windswept hill
Into the deepest valleys
Beyond the blue horizon
To places eagle’s fly
Above the Gulf Stream waters
Soaring in the sky
The routes and the meandering
Through twists and turns and tracks
Fulfills the burgeoning body
And completes the lust it lacks
Giving new inspiration
From the hills down to the sea
Using the special radar
And finding what I wish to see
The arrival is an enigma
It’s not the end or destination
Just another journey of the heart
One previously never taken
The innate freedom and the joy
Of the journey and the trip
Into the wild blue yonder
Aboard the journey ship.
