Of dew drops

Sometimes it’s imperceptible.
Other times portentous
The difference in how it feels
It can often be momentous.

The shadow in the valley
Cast by the end of the day
Words escape the beauty.
The suspense is too hard to say.

Glistening tears of dewdrops
Clinging in suspension
Mist whirled by the breeze.
seen in a new dimension

Birds warbling afore the sunrise
Golden sunbeams washed by clouds.
Sea splashing on the foreshore
Winds hustling in crowds.

Silhouettes on far horizons
Emerge then disappear
The rumbles from the heavens
Too far away to hear.

Poised upon a knife-edge
And she is teetering on edge.
Creeping across the cliff face
I was then standing on the ledge.

The mixture of excitement
Suspense and tranquillity
Not opposed
Both embrace qualities.

The difference in a heartbeat
One minute gained, then lost.
Living in the moment
Regardless of the cost.
