In Secrets

We delight.

Did you walk out of the water
Are those your footsteps in the sand
Where did you go? I do not know
Or was it something planned?

I felt your presence moving
Two ships passing in the night
We brushed up past each other
In secrets, we delight.

You could have been a moonbeam
Or an extra-terrestrial on the road
Travelling to heaven
Hidden safely in your abode.

Do we have double identities?
Which habit did you wear?
Your footsteps never touched the ground
Mere mortals stop and stare.

Did we massage understanding?
Was it a half-truth or a fabrication?
Had the last train gone
When you reach the station.

Movement is a destiny
Respect is next to the truth
How many balls can you juggle?
Are you the super sleuth?

In between the moments
The chagrin and the bliss
Is there some misunderstanding
And a fleeting kiss.

I saw you in a moment
And then you disappeared
Is everything as it seems
Or maybe slightly weird.
